Scottish Design Awards 2025 (Healthcare Category) - Gold Award
AJ Retrofit Awards 2025 - Finalist
Take our work with Elanic Private Hospital, for example. This project involved retrofitting an existing building to meet modern healthcare standards while preserving its character. We worked closely with the client to understand how patients move through each space, how staff interact, and where design could reduce stress and improve flow. The result was a calm, intuitive environment that feels more like a wellness retreat than a clinical facility. A landmark adaptive reuse project, Elanic Private Hospital, transformed a disused Brutalist city centre building into a state-of-the-art, three-storey hospital. The design delivers a calming, non-institutional environment for patient and staff, supporting both patient wellbeing and city regeneration.

Waterfront Private Hospital, Edinburgh
Scottish Design Awards 2024 (Healthcare Category) - Finalist
We also designed facilities like Waterfront Medical Centre, where natural light, clear wayfinding, and flexible layouts help staff deliver care more effectively. These projects aren’t just about aesthetics—they’re about creating spaces that work for people. The Waterfront Hospital in Granton, Edinburgh, is a purpose-built private hospital specialising in cosmetic and plastic surgery. The project involved converting a standalone two storey commercial building that had laid unused for 14 years since it was first built into a fully SHTM-compliant facility. The design maximises daylight, supports efficient clinical workflows, and integrates advanced building management systems for optimal care and comfort.
