The design for this project was developed to support our client’s tender for a site within Medi Park in Dundee.
Our client’s brief was to develop a fully compliant private hospital on this site. The hospital accommodation was to include 2 No. GA Theatres, 10 bedrooms for overnight stay, a radiography department, 10 No. treatment rooms and all ancillary and support spaces required for a fully SHTM-compliant hospital.
Our design for this new private hospital was both a response to its context and our client’s desire and aspiration to create an environment that was enjoyable, calming, and conducive to good health.
The building design and overall form have been developed to maximise and take advantage of the views towards a wooded piece of landscape to the rear of the site while presenting a tactile, celebratory, familiar, and positive frontage on the entrance façade.
