NVDC Architects' proposal was to create 4 No. generously proportioned three-bedroom apartments centred around working closely with the original building layout while creating apartment layouts that are suited to current lifestyles and aspirations. The design process, therefore, involved extensive liaison with the planning department and Historic Scotland and close collaboration with the client to develop sensitive yet imaginative solutions that would maximise the potential of the existing building's generous room proportions while resolving its awkward layout.
