The existing building sits at the corner of Crown Circus and Crown Road North with the main entrance positioned symmetrically on Crown Road North elevation splitting the floor plate on ground level into two halves. Our design, therefore, consisted of 2 duplexes on either side of the main entrance over ground and lower ground levels in order to resolve this split in the floor plan and thereafter create one 2-bedroom apartment on each of the three upper levels.
Each apartment layout has been developed to fit and accommodate the peculiarities of the existing building layout on each different level, thus creating 5 very unique apartments, combining modern interventions with painstakingly restored original features.
