Complete Design & Build services associated with conversion of 2 No. “A” Listed Terraced villas into two duplex 3 bedroom apartments over the ground & lower ground floors with private garden spaces and four contemporary 2 bedroom apartments over first and second floors. The key innovation in this project was our imaginative conversion of the L shaped drawing rooms on the first floor into a loft style open plan space containing kitchen, dining, lounge and one bedroom, which took close working relationship with Historic Scotland to show how this could be done in a sensitive and sympathetic manner which both maximised value for the client while satisfying Historic Scotland’s concerns for protection and retention of the original details, proportions and character of the space.
